• Gather your group, and carpool to the lake. There is a $6/car admittance fee to the park. You can purchase a season pass for $50 from the main Jordan Lake park office at any time throughout the year. This pass allows you entrance to any of the North Carolina State parks.
• Arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your reservation start time. This will allow time for you to sign in.
• Make sure every member of your group has a picture ID. We hold the ID while you are on the lake.
• Leave all valuables in your car. This includes jewelry (even wedding bands), electronics, etc. If you'll be upset when you drop it into the lake and lose it, leave it in your car or at home. Jordan Lake Water Sports is not responsible for loss of or damage to any personal property.
• Wear clothing that you expect to get wet in. Sounds crazy, but you'll be at a lake, and you'll get wet. We suggest swim trunks, swim suits. T-shirts/tank tops make life vests more comfortable to wear.
• Bring clothing to change into for your ride home. There are bathrooms and changing facilities inside the park for your convenience.
• Water Shoes. These can be purchases at Wal-mart/Target/Payless, etc for about $5-7 a pair. The beaches and coves around the lake have some hidden rocks, and foot covering is nice to have. Flip flops and sandals are easily lost or ruined in the water.
• Sunscreen. Bring it. Wear it. You will get burnt and won't even know it, until it's too late!!!!
• Drink water!!! There are fountains at the park, but bring along some bottled water, or your other favorite drinks (non-alcoholic).

Plan on staying at the park and taking advantage of the facilities. At Vista Point, there is a playground for the kids, beach volleyball net, covered shelters for groups, and barbeque/picnic areas. Bring a cooler and some charcoal, and make a day of it!!!
